Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automotive Feature Validation Engineer, located in Bengaluru South. The Automotive Feature Validation Engineer will be responsible for validating automotive features, conducting comprehensive testing, analyzing data, and ensuring that features meet quality and safety standards. The role involves close collaboration with software developers, other engineers, and stakeholders to develop validation plans, create test cases, and generate reports on validation results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive testing including
    Black Box, Positive/Negative, Smoke/Sanity, Functional, Integration, Diagnostic, and OBD tests
    .
  • Validate digital features across
    infotainment, navigation, connectivity
    , and
    HMI systems
    .
  • Conduct
    HIL commissioning
    using
    dSPACE or VT systems
    .
  • Utilize tools like
    CANoe
    ,
    UDS
    , and
    Vector tools
    for in-depth testing and analysis.
  • Perform
    Over-The-Air (OTA)
    software update testing and validation.
  • Use
    CAPL, Python, or VB scripting
    for automation and debugging tasks.
  • Track defects and generate detailed reports using
    JIRA
    and
    DOORS
    .
  • Work with
    hardware components
    , including breadboard circuits and fault injection methods.
  • Analyze
    Simulink/MATLAB
    models for feature-level behavior.
  • Apply
    automotive cybersecurity
    principles in validation processes.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3+ years
    of experience in automotive software testing/validation.
  • Expertise in
    CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet
    protocols.
  • Strong hands-on experience in
    HIL testing
    (dSPACE or VT systems).
  • Familiarity with
    diagnostic and flash tools
    , oscilloscopes, and automotive test equipment.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in
    automotive cybersecurity
    and secure communication validation.
  • Experience with
    head unit hardware performance testing
