BIM Architect

• Coordinating the overall digital implementation within the IDL team and supporting the delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
• Enforcing processes and procedures led by the ME IDL team across the wider organization.
• Enhancing the design management process by utilizing modern methods of design coordination.
• Reporting coordination issues using modern methods that can be integrated within Power BI.
• Ensuring the correct Level of Development (LOD) and Level of Information Need (LOIN) are achieved by the engineers/modelers (multidisciplinary).
• Enforcing best digital practices from concept to completion.
• Coordinating the overall deployment of digital delivery within multidisciplinary design projects in alignment with the organization's way of working and best practices, as directed by the multidisciplinary BIM Lead – IDL.
• Supporting the multidisciplinary BIM Lead IDL in managing the project supply chain to deliver high-quality information, data, and models to the appointing party and ensuring that information delivery within the supply chain follows contract requirements.
• Working in close collaboration with the assigned disciplinary project BIM leads, including input to quality assurance and quality control of deliverables, and verification of compliance with project standards.
• Assisting in the creation of deliverables, model federation, design coordination reports, quality control plans, design review procedures, construction sequencing (4D), cost estimating (5D), asset management BIM implementation (COBie), and e-Specs implementation.
• Attending meetings with clients and third parties and assisting the BIM Leads - IDL in presentation and navigation throughout the models.
• Assisting and supporting in the analysis/implementation of BIM Execution Plans for BIM deliverables production.
• Configuring and maintaining the project common data environment to enable the effective management of deliverables.
• Assisting in planning project deliverables and managing their effective delivery in accordance with the project plan and BIM Execution Plan.
• Coordinating issues with design teams to develop and reinforce standards with the goal of refining the models and BIM deliverables.
• Assisting the BIM Leads - IDL in leading BIM implementation, standards, modeling workflow, and methodologies during the project design lifecycle.
• Supporting quality assurance at project kick-offs and compiling BIM best practices and lessons learned.
• Integrating leading-edge BIM applications, including scheduling, cost, asset management, and O&M programs into the BIM models.
• Monitoring and guiding the model advancement and utilization process for future construction.
• Reporting to the BIM Lead – IDL and project and design management team in a structured manner. Minimum content to include: BIM issue tracker, model audit reports, BIM for clash detection results for in-progress and completed conflicts resolution, status of model development, models compliance reports, handover reports, BEP appendices preparation, etc.

• Assisting in the upskilling of existing CAD/BIM, engineering, and project management staff.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for escalated software functionality issues.
• Supporting interoperability of BIM authoring and coordination tools with the engineering discipline design analysis tools.
• Supporting automation processes and highlighting aspects and areas of productivity and quality optimization.
• Engaging and leading management for BIM technicians/engineers and the wider task team.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant architecture, engineering, or equivalent disciplines with a proven track record of successfully undertaking BIM responsibilities within a multidisciplinary design delivery team, with a background in modeling, coordination, data management, and knowledge of best practices in BIM.
• Proven ability and leadership skills to lead, monitor, and support a team of disciplinary BIM authoring and coordination members as well as supporting project and design management team members already using BIM authoring or management solutions.
• The ability to communicate effectively and clearly is key for this position.
• Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in design and BIM management on large-scale projects (including but not limited to modeling, coordination, collaboration, data management, quality assurance, and control) on large-scale multidisciplinary projects within the Middle East region.
• Mandatory proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D BIM authoring tools.
• Mandatory proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
• Mandatory proficiency in BIM360/ACC Environment.
• Proficiency in Revito.
• Proficiency in Dynamo would be considered an added value.
• Proficiency in BIMTrack platform would be considered an added value.
• Proficiency in Dynamo or Grasshopper scripting tools and Power BI would be an added value.
• Task team management experience would be an advantage.
• Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in model review solutions and have good command/knowledge of ELV design analysis tools.
• Knowledge of ISO19650 suite of documents and international standards.
• Strong knowledge of COBie implementation and delivery in accordance with LOIN.
• Proficiency in MS SharePoint and ACONEX platforms would be an added value.
• Experience working within a multinational working environment would be beneficial.
