Role & responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Label, organize, and place materials on shelves or designated storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using software and manual logs.
  • Conduct periodic stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, loss, or theft.
  • Coordinate with the purchase department for timely replenishment of stock.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
  • Prepare reports such as daily stock, inward/outward logs, and consumption records.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies regarding materials handling.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience: 13 years in a similar storekeeping or inventory role.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of storekeeping procedures and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP software, Tally, etc.)
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy items (if required).
  • Preferred: Experience in Hotels and Resorts ,
