Job Description: Python + Frappe DeveloperPosition: Python + Frappe DeveloperLocation: On-site PuneEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Python + Frappe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will havestrong backend development experience in Python combined with hands-on expertise in the FrappeFramework and ERPNext. This role involves building, customizing, and extending businessapplications, integrating third-party services, and optimizing workflows for scalability andperformance.Key ResponsibilitiesFrappe Development- Develop and customize applications using the Frappe Framework.- Create and extend DocTypes, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, and Print Formats.- Implement hooks, server scripts, client scripts, and role-based permissions.- Customize and extend ERPNext modules, with familiarity in core areas such as Buying, Selling,CRM, Helpdesk, Accounting, etc.- Be able to change, extend functionalities, and handle customizations using JavaScript withinFrappe apps.- Build and configure user interfaces with Frappe's built-in components.- Debug and optimize Frappe apps for performance and scalability.- Be familiar with new versions of Frappe applications built with and Python, with the ability toextend and customize their functionalities.Python Development- Write clean, reusable, and efficient Python code for backend logic.- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems.- Work with databases (MariaDB/MySQL) and optimize queries.- Build automation scripts and backend services to support business workflows.- Implement unit tests and ensure code quality.- Collaborate with the team for code reviews and architecture discussions.Required Skills- Minimum 2 years of Python development experience (OOP, error handling, performance tuning).- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with the Frappe Framework.- Minimum 2 years of ERPNext module development/customization experience.- Good understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and ORM.- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.- Experience with API development and integrations.- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.- Exposure to Docker, Redis, or Nginx.- Cloud deployment knowledge (Azure and Frappe Cloud).- Basic knowledge of to work with and extend new Frappe applications
• Design and document RESTful APIs for communication with the front-end.
• Architect the back-end to ensure scalability and optimal performance as the application grows.
• Conduct unit testing for back-end components and collaborate with QA engineers to address identified issues.Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven 2+ years experience as a Back-End Developer with expertise in
• Proficient in server-side JavaScript.
• Experience with web application frameworks (e.g., ).
• Knowledge of database systems, especially MongoDB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Bonus Skills:
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
