Job Title: Manual Test Engineer
Job Summary: AlgoShack is seeking skilled Manual Test Engineers with a strong background in the banking or financial services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing test cases, executing manual test scenarios, and ensuring the quality of software applications in alignment with banking processes and compliance standards
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business and functional requirements related to banking applications.
  • Create and execute detailed manual test cases and test scripts.
  • Perform system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows related to banking functions like customer onboarding, KYC, payments, loans, and transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and security standards in testing.
  • Participate in test planning, status meetings, and project reviews.
  • Prepare test reports and provide status updates to the QA lead.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing with a focus on the banking domain.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes such as retail banking, core banking systems, internet/mobile banking, and financial transactions.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
  • Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with compliance-driven environments (e.g., PCI DSS, AML/KYC regulations).
  • Knowledge of automation basics is a plus but not mandatory.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
