Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manual Testing with Data Engineer to perform end-to-end manual testing of data engineering workflows. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, transformation logic, and pipeline orchestration.

The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing experience in data engineering and cloud data lake environments, as well as proficiency in writing and debugging complex SQL queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform manual testing of data engineering workflows to ensure data integrity across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers.
  2. Validate data stored in Azure Data Lake Storage and Delta tables using complex SQL queries.
  3. Test Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Databricks SQL notebooks, Unity Catalog configurations, and Azure SQL Database queries.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and support User Acceptance Testing.
  5. Create detailed test plans and test cases using tools like TestRail.
  6. Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the data engineering process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Strong manual testing experience in data engineering and cloud data lake environments.
  2. Proficiency in writing and debugging complex SQL queries.
  3. Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, Unity Catalog, and Azure SQL Database.
  4. Familiarity with ADLS, Delta Lake, and data validation techniques.
  5. Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Exposure to HP's FDL architecture or similar enterprise data platforms.
  2. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
