Position Title: IBDP Visual Arts FacilitatorFunction/Department: AcademicPosition Type: PermanentPosition Status: Full TimeLocation: SerilingampallyPrimary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality instruction in IBDP Visual Arts, fostering creativity, critical analysis, and personal expression while guiding students through the technical, conceptual, and reflective components of the course in line with the International Baccalaureate's artistic and academic expectations.

Job description

  • Teach IBDP Visual Arts at Standard and

Higher Levels in accordance with IB guidelines.

  • Develop curriculum plans, studio projects, and inquiry-based units aligned with IB assessment criteria.
  • Guide students through all components of the course: Comparative Study, Process Portfolio, and Exhibition.
  • Support students in developing independent artistic voices through experimentation and reflection.
  • Promote art appreciation by exposing students to diverse artistic traditions, styles and movements.
  • Maintain and manage a safe, well-equipped, and stimulating studio environment.
  • Use a range of traditional and digital media to support diverse artistic practices.
  • Offer personalized feedback to foster growth in technical skills and conceptual thinking.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including curatorial rationale and artist statements.
  • Collaborate with other faculty to promote interdisciplinary learning (e.g., TOK, CAS).
  • Organize and curate student art exhibitions and support public displays of student work.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience; IBDP Visual Arts experience preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a broad range of artistic techniques and media.
  • Familiarity with IB Visual Arts assessment criteria and global contexts.
  • Passion for art education and student-centered learning.
  • Strong understanding of art history, theory, and contemporary art practices.
  • Ability to integrate digital art and technology into the classroom.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Enthusiastic contributor to the school's artistic and cultural life.
