Job description:

We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial processes. Key Responsibilities:

  1. **General Accounting:**

  2. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger updates, and reconciliations.

  3. Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

  4. Prepare basic financial reports.

  5. **Accounts Payable and Receivable:**

  6. Manage accounts payable by verifying invoices and scheduling payments.

  7. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.

  8. Assist in the preparation of customer invoices and process payments.

  9. **Bank Reconciliation:**

  10. Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  11. **Payroll Support:**

  12. Assist with payroll processing and ensure proper documentation of salary disbursements and tax deductions.

  13. **Compliance and Taxation:**

  14. Support the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

  15. Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and data.

  16. **Administrative Support:**

  17. Organize and maintain accounting files and records.

  18. Support the senior accountants and finance team in ad hoc projects.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • **Education:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, B.COM, M.COM.

  • **Experience:**

  • 1 -2 years of accounting or finance experience

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Google Sheets, Excel).

  • **Technical Skills:**

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • **Soft Skills:**

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Work Environment:- Office-based work with the possibility of hybrid or remote arrangements depending on company policy.
