Role & responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth heat-treatment operations by maintaining breakdown-free furnaces and achieving daily production targets.
  • Monitor and control metallurgical parameters to meet product quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Drive adherence to QMS, SOPs and WI; implement continual improvements through loss analysis and audit feedback.
  • Lead TPM activities including step shifting, 5S and other pillar initiatives to enhance reliability.
  • Plan and execute SKU-wise production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Reduce cost through scrap and rework reduction, and execute heat-treatment cost-saving projects.
  • Enforce all safety norms to maintain a zero-accident workplace and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Execute digital manufacturing and data-driven improvement projects within the heat-treatment process.
  • Collaborate internally (vendor development, customer cell) and externally (suppliers, machine manufacturers, customers) for process and quality issue resolution.
  • Take key decisions on furnace trouble-shooting, manpower handling, preventive maintenance and tooling modifications.
