Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in modernizing our security engineering practice and will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our cybersecurity controls across the entire security portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for engineering secure, scalable solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions across IAM, vulnerability management, privileged access management, and firewall rule management.
• Lead the engineering and integration of modern security technologies and practices, including Zero Trust architecture and cloud-native security controls.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and improve detection and response capabilities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in security engineering, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Respond to Service Desk tickets and user requests according to SLAs, ensuring efficient handling of support inquiries.
• Provide a high level of customer service with excellent written and verbal communication skills for IT and business audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into infrastructure, applications, and DevOps pipelines.
• Work with IT team members to identify recurring issues and help improve IT processes and systems.
• Maintain thorough documentation of IT support issues, resolutions, and procedures for future reference in the knowledgebase.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, Azure/AWS Security) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with hands-on expertise in IAM, vulnerability management, PAM, and firewall technologies.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, cloud security (GCP, Azure, AWS), and modern security frameworks.
• Proven track record of solving problems with automation.
• Proficiency with GitHub for source code management and documentation
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to support security operations and engineering tasks.
• Experience with security tools such as Tenable, CyberArk, Netskope, and enterprise firewalls.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Outstanding candidates will have:

• Proven experience designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures in hybrid or cloud-native environments.
• Deep technical expertise in vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys, Tenable) and remediation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade PAM solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or HashiCorp Vault.
• Strong background in firewall rule management, including policy design, optimization, and automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security controls into DevOps workflows (DevSecOps).
• Experience with EntraID identity governance, conditional access, risky user detection, and other EntraID platform-driven security controls.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning technologies, with experience securing AI workloads, protecting training data, and implementing governance around model access, data privacy, and ethical AI use.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
