  We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our global capability centre in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and overseeing the health and wellbeing of employees, promoting workplace safety, supporting compliance with local occupational health laws, and advising on fitness for duty, medical surveillance, and public health matters in alignment with global standards. Key Responsibilities Clinical Services & Employee Health
• Provide on-site or virtual clinical consultations, initial assessments, and medical advice for work-related and non-work-related health concerns.
• Conduct pre-placement, periodic, and return-to-work medical evaluations.
• Assess fitness for work and support disability case management and reasonable accommodation processes.
• Training First aid services or engaging vendors to conduct training and managing basic outpatient services/referrals. Occupational Health Programs
• Implement and monitor health surveillance programs relevant to job roles and exposures (e.g., ergonomics, chemical handling, noise, etc.).
• Support vaccination and communicable disease prevention strategies (e.g., TB, Hepatitis B, COVID-19).
• Lead periodic health risk assessments in collaboration with HSE and HR.
• Conducting ergonomic evaluations in person or reviewing complex cases.
• Coordinating with the regional H&M team for on-site random drug & alcohol screenings.
• Return-to-work related fitness for duty assessments (after extended sickness, etc.) and pre-employment. Wellness Programs
• Manage the EAP services and partner with HR and management to deliver health education, stress management, and mental health initiatives.
• Supporting employee engagement and health communications.
• Supporting mental health and well-being initiatives. Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with Indian occupational health laws (e.g., The Factories Act, Shops and Establishments Act) and internal corporate health standards.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
• Respond to public health emergencies, support pandemic preparedness, and manage communicable disease exposures at the workplace.
• Overseeing and evaluating cafeteria standards. Advisory & Strategic Support
• Serve as a medical advisor to site leadership on occupational health, fitness for duty, and medical accommodations.
• Liaise with external providers, government agencies, and health authorities when required.
• Support audits, accreditation processes, and global health reporting metrics.
• Offering medical assistance during leadership visits.
• Ensuring comprehensive support for expatriates' health needs.
• Vaccination guidance for travel to high-risk locations. Required Qualifications & Experience
• MBBS from an accredited medical school; MD in Occupational Medicine / Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) strongly preferred.
• Registered with the Medical Council of India (or applicable state council).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in occupational health, corporate health, or public health settings, preferably within multinational organizations.
• Familiarity with Indian OHS legislation, global EHS standards, and corporate health governance frameworks. Desired Skills
• Excellent clinical judgment and ethical standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in health risk assessment, employee wellbeing strategies, and incident response.
• Ability to work independently within a matrixed, multinational environment.
