Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Our interdisciplinary team comprises professionals from various backgrounds, including pediatric occupational therapy.

  • Assessment and Evaluation:

Conduct thorough assessments of children's developmental, physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Utilize standardized assessments, clinical observations, and parent/caregiver interviews to gather relevant information.

  • Interpret assessment results to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:

Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessment findings and child/family goals. Provide direct occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, sensory integration techniques, and adaptive equipment training.

  • Modify treatment plans as needed based on child progress and changing needs.
  • Family Collaboration and Education:

Collaborate with parents/caregivers to develop and implement home programs. Provide education and training to parents/caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment use, and strategies to promote child independence.

  • Maintain open communication with families to ensure ongoing collaboration and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information. Prepare reports for parents, physicians, and other professionals as needed.

  • Adhere to all ethical and legal requirements related to patient confidentiality and documentation.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:

Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators. Participate in team meetings and case conferences.

  • Provide consultation and education to other professionals as needed.
  • Professional Development:

Stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy. Participate in continuing education activities and professional development opportunities.
