Senior Finance Executive

at Studio AsA, a corporate interior design and construction firm, would likely be responsible for financial operations related to projects, general accounting, and strategic financial analysis. The role would combine hands-on accounting tasks with providing strategic insights to senior management. 

Key responsibilities

  • Financial reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets for management. The reports must be accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, such as the Indian Accounting Standards.

  • Budgeting and forecasting:

Coordinate the company's budgeting process, prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, and monitor actual performance against the budget.

  • Cash flow and treasury management:

Manage the company's cash flow, including banking and treasury operations, to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations. This may involve managing investments in fixed deposits and mutual funds.

  • Compliance and audits:

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and company policies, including GST and TDS. The executive would also handle internal and external audits.

  • Accounts payable and receivable:

Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, such as processing vendor and employee payments and managing accounts payable and receivable.

  • Financial systems:

Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency, potentially leveraging technology to automate routine tasks.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Chartered Accountant (CA), are often preferred.
  • Candidates would need several years of experience in financial management or accounting.
