Role Overview:

Huntsman Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Aerospace Support / Project Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal to providing expert technical support and project management for aerospace adhesive and syntactic solutions. As the primary technical authority, you will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to lead complex projects, including product requalification and change requests, while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards. Youll play an essential role in driving business success in the aerospace sector.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Technical Aerospace Support / Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary technical expert for aerospace adhesives, providing consultation, troubleshooting, and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing technical inquiries and issue resolution across various platforms, including CRM, email, phone, and in-person meetings.
  • Leading requalification and change request (MOCR) projects, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards while maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating essential technical documentation, such as Technical Data Sheets and test reports, to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Representing Huntsman at customer sites, industry events, and exhibitions, managing relationships with key platforms, including the Airbus Supplier Portal.
  • Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality teams to track project KPIs, manage budgets, and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.
Experience and Competencies:

We are looking for experienced candidates who have a solid technical background and a proven track record in managing aerospace projects. If you have the expertise to troubleshoot complex technical issues, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple projects efficiently, this could be the role for you.

What we are looking for:
  • University degree (Masters or PhD) in chemistry, material science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar technical or project management role, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • In-depth technical expertise in aerospace adhesives and syntactics.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects and manage change requests.
  • Proficiency in documentation and compliance, ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality.
  • Customer service orientation and strong troubleshooting abilities.
