Position: Fashion Merchandiser

We are searching for a creative fashion merchandiser to join our company. As the fashion merchandiser, it will be your responsibility to plan, source, implement and work with local fashion designers and suppliers, and use your vast knowledge of the latest fashion trends to create designs.

A successful fashion merchandiser should be up-to-date with the latest developments and trends shaping the fashion industry, possess excellent collaboration and communication skills, and be able to effectively combine both marketing and fashion design expertise to produce sales.

Fashion Merchandiser Responsibilities:


• Identify fashion trends and target markets, and develop product and colour concepts using sales, market research, and customer feedback.


• Identify buying trends, establish merchandise categories, and develop product assortments.


• Research and analyze competitor products and pricing to assure that merchandise is priced competitively.


• Research product categories and seasonable trends, and approve the seasonal merchandise assortment and product mixes.


• Implement merchandising requirements within established budgets.


• Maintain product knowledge, including pricing, inventory levels, pricing, and levels of service.


• Track merchandising performance, including sales, profit, and return on investment.


• Design presentation material, including product detail sheets, signage, and shipping containers.


• Analyze and report on sales performance.

Fashion Merchandiser Requirements:


• Degree in merchandising and/or fashion design.


• Proven experience as a fashion merchandiser or visual merchandiser.


• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.


• Strong knowledge of the latest fashion trends and developments.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to create original and eye-catching designs that appeal to our target market.


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Experience:
3 to 4 years of experience in Fashion Merchandiser

Salary:
3-4.5lpa
