Role Purpose:
The British Council is hiring an Assistant Teaching Operations Manager to support the efficient delivery of our online English offer. Based in Noida, this role involves monitoring student bookings, assisting with timetable planning, and helping deploy teaching resources effectively. You'll support operational reporting, ensure service standards, and work closely with internal teams on projects and teacher onboarding. Main Accountabilities:
In this role, you will work closely with the Teaching Operations Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our online teaching operations. You will be instrumental in implementing standard operating procedures and contributing to performance targets across various service delivery areas. A key part of your responsibility will involve assisting in resource management, timetabling, and adjusting capacity in response to fluctuating demand, all while maintaining adherence to service level agreements with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will play a pivotal role in relationship management by supporting strong internal communication across departments such as Sales, Customer Service, and Tech/Product. You will also serve as a first point of contact for teachers on operational matters, ensuring they are kept informed and supported, and escalating more complex issues where necessary.
Your analytical skills will be critical in supporting data collection and reporting efforts that contribute to continuous business process improvement. You will assist in tracking key performance indicators and generating routine reports, offering preliminary insights and recommendations to management.
The successful candidate will also support commercial and financial management by ensuring the accuracy of timetabling and booking data, helping monitor student booking patterns, and uploading classes after obtaining appropriate approvals. An understanding of risk and compliance processes is essential, as you will be expected to follow all corporate protocols related to child protection, financial procedures, security, and anti-fraud policies.
We are looking for someone with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, ideally with a Microsoft Office Specialist Expert certification or equivalent training. Additional qualifications or courses in data visualisation (e.g., Power BI or Tableau), AI/machine learning, business intelligence, or statistics are highly desirable.

Work Schedule:
This is a 24/7 on-site role with rotating shifts, including night shifts. The position offers two days off per week, which may not always fall on weekends. Flexibility and adaptability to a continuous shift-based environment are essential.
