Specialist - ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)

Experience: 5-7 years

Location: Mumbai.

The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through SEBI-mandated BRSR requirements, helping them prepare accurate and comprehensive sustainability disclosures for BRSR reporting
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients on BRSR and sustainability.
  • Assist client in ESG Policy & Framework development- draft and reviewing ESG policies, codes of conduct, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct ESG assessments and audits for clients, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Support client in Integrated Reporting (IR) aligned with Framework and ISSB S1/S2 standards
  • Giving scoring support to clients on CDP, EcoVadis & DJSI
  • GHG Accounting and developing Net Zero roadmaps and SBT1 alignment for clients
  • Engage with clients to understand and address their ESG needs through expert consultation and tailored solutions.
  • Assist in benchmarking ESG performance against industry peers and provide gap analysis and improvement plans.
  • Drive the development and implementation of ESG-focused Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique ESG challenges, and offering both innovative and customized solutions.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams on ESG principles and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry experts, staying connected to the latest trends and insights in the ESG landscape.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and advancements in ESG practices, continuously improving knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by publishing articles, whitepapers, or speaking at industry events on ESG topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or master's degree in a relevant ield (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability or related domains).
  • Proven experience in ESG consulting & strategy development, SaaS solutions
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, regulations/standards both global and domestic (BRSR, GRI, TCFD, CDP, ISSB S1/S2 etc.) and support platforms (CDP, EcoVadis, DJSI etc.)
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and initiatives such as NGFS, SBTi, PCAF etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with sustainable inance and ethical investment principles
