Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead/Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Bangalore or Gurgaon, India.
How Will You Contribute to the Team?
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with Master's in Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in transport planning software: VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN, DIADEM.
- Strong knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance.
- Understanding of the technical transport planning environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, especially in MS Excel.
- Programming experience in Python, Power BI, Excel-VBA, R.
- Ability to write high-quality technical reports.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
Desirable Requirements
- Highly self-motivated and ambitious.
- Adaptable to different cultures and work environments.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with UK/ME regional modelling guidance and approaches.
- Experience with GIS, databases, and analytical/research tools.
- Understanding of the transport industry and policy context.
- Professional membership in a relevant institution.
- Experience in leading small teams and managing project delivery.
- Proven task management capabilities.
