Key Responsibilities

  • Transport Operations & Planning
  • Prepare and monitor daily transport schedules and ensure buses run on time.
  • Plan efficient bus routes and stops for safe and timely pick-up/drop-off of students.
  • Maintain updated records of students availing school transport.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all RTO/transport department rules, fitness certificates, insurance, pollution, and permit renewals.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of buses (fire extinguisher, first aid box, CCTV, GPS, speed governors, seat covers, etc.).
  • Ensure that students strictly follow discipline in buses.
  • Staff Supervision
  • Supervise drivers and conductors for punctuality, discipline, and behavior.
  • Organize training sessions for drivers/conductors regarding safety and student handling.
  • Maintenance & Repairs
  • Coordinate with mechanics/vendors for timely servicing, repairs, and upkeep of buses.
  • Maintain records of fuel consumption, mileage, and expenses.
  • Submit daily/monthly transport reports to Admin/Principal.
  • Parent & Student Coordination
  • Handle transport-related queries from parents.
  • Ensure immediate resolution of complaints about bus timing, safety, or staff behavior.
  • Administrative Duties
  • Maintain transport-related documents (driver license, insurance, permits, pollution, fitness, etc.).
  • Keep attendance and duty rosters of transport staff.
  • Assist management in budgeting for transport expenses and fuel usage.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in transport/operations management (preferably in educational institutions).
  • Good knowledge of school transport safety norms and RTO regulations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and handle emergencies calmly.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/ERP software for reporting.

Working Hours

  • As per school timings (must report early morning before buses leave and remain available till departure).
  • Additional hours as required during school trips, exams, or emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹40,000.00 per month
