**Job Description** Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Urban Planning & Policy Development**: Develop land-use plans, zoning policies, and regulatory frameworks that guide the growth and development of urban and suburban areas. Ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainability goals.
- ** Site Analysis & Research**: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on demographic trends, economic conditions, land use, transportation systems, and environmental factors to inform planning decisions.
- ** Community Engagement**: Lead community outreach efforts, including public meetings, workshops, and surveys, to gather input from residents and stakeholders about proposed projects and development plans.
- ** Planning Studies & Reports**: Prepare and present planning documents, feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and reports to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- ** Project Management**: Manage the implementation of planning projects from conception through completion, ensuring that they meet deadlines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- ** Collaboration & Coordination**: Work closely with architects, engineers, developers, and government officials to coordinate planning and design efforts for new developments and infrastructure projects.
- ** Sustainability & Resilience**: Integrate sustainability and resilience principles into urban development strategies, promoting green building practices, energy efficiency, and climate resilience in urban areas.
- ** Transportation & Mobility Planning**: Contribute to the development of transportation systems, including roads, public transit, bike lanes, and pedestrian pathways, to ensure safe and efficient mobility within urban areas.
- ** Advocacy & Representation**: Represent the planning department at public hearings, meetings, and presentations, advocating for planning solutions that meet community needs and align with broader urban policies.

**Experience**:

- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in urban planning, with a strong understanding of zoning, land use regulations, and city planning processes.
- Experience in working with local government agencies, developers, and community stakeholders.
- Experience in managing planning projects and preparing related reports, studies, and presentations.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong proficiency in planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar tools).
- Excellent knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning laws, environmental regulations, and sustainable development practices.

**Qualifications** Education**:

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.

**Additional Information**
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including community members, government agencies, and private developers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with transportation planning and infrastructure design principles.
