About the Role

A Vibe Coder is a hybrid role: half prompt engineer/orchestrator/editor, half software engineer/product builder.

Rather than writing every line of code, you guide generative models (LLMs and AI agents) to produce usable

software, refine outputs, debug issues, and integrate them into production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate product/feature specs into prompts and instructions for LLMs

  • Review, validate, test, and iterate on AI-generated code

  • Fill in manual 'gap code' when AI outputs are insufficient

  • Integrate generated modules with existing codebases

  • Design and maintain modular and scalable architecture

  • Monitor AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security

  • Collaborate with UI/UX, data, and backend teams

  • Build tooling, automation, and frameworks for prompt workflows

  • Document prompt strategies, failures, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong programming foundation (TypeScript/JS, Python, Go)

  • Experience with LLMs / AI code assistants (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)

  • Problem decomposition and quick iteration with prompts

  • Strong debugging skills and integration experience

  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals

  • Version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines

Unit testing and integration testing

  • Security awareness and dependency hygiene

  • Communication skills for explaining AI tradeoffs

  • Portfolio or GitHub with AI-assisted projects preferred

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with prompt engineering specialization

  • Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector search

  • Experience with AI agent frameworks

  • Performance optimization experience

  • Domain knowledge in industry-specific software

  • Familiarity with security auditing and code-hardening
