Job DescriptionWhat's the role
The Specialist – Market Risk (PIM+EOD) will be a key contributor to Price Risk Operations Team for Shell Trading, based in Chennai. The individual will perform daily price load activities, act as market data SME for external stakeholders, and lead projects for continuous improvements within market data team.
What you'll be doing
Perform time critical price load activities for Shell Energy Trade and Risk Management System (DEX& ENDUR)
Act as a focal point for all pricing issues. Providing support for business users in both STN (Shell trading network) and non-STN companies ensuring integrity of this data
Support and act as SME to large scale system change projects
Develop effective KPI's for Price Risk activities.
Responsible for monitoring and managing Trading & Supply's Risk and exposures daily.
Executes controlled processes to complete a virtual close of the Trading & Supply books every day, including: maintaining the operational integrity Market Risk processes and controls, identifying fit for purpose processes, maintaining observable valuation input and calculation and monitoring of risk metrics.
What you bring
At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience
A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Finance or Economics is preferred
An understanding ETRM/CTRM systems is required. (ETRM stands for Energy Trade and Risk Management. CTRM stands for Commodity Trading and Risk Management)
Knowledge of Shell ETRM systems i.e. DEX, ENDUR is a plus
Risk management knowledge or experience would be a strong plus
The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, logical, have the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be comfortable working in teams
The individual must be flexible in shift patterns. Especially night shift
The individual must be comfortable with working in a global team and having accountabilities for performance to many stakeholders
