Overview

We're building India's first paper-like digital notebook from the ground up — designed to feel like paper, think like a computer, and transform how people learn, write, and work. As an Accountant
at Hashmint, you'll help strengthen our financial foundation, ensuring that every transaction, reconciliation, and compliance process runs seamlessly as we scale from early-stage to nationwide growth.

Experience:
3–4 years in Accounting (Startup or Manufacturing background preferred)

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, ledgers, and bank reconciliations
  • Handle vendor and customer reconciliations, resolving mismatches proactively
  • Manage TDS computation, deduction, payment, and challan tracking
  • Coordinate with banks for KYC, limit renewals, statements, and documentation
  • Work with consultants on GST, TDS, and other statutory filings; track acknowledgments
  • Maintain organized records for invoices, challans, and payments
  • Oversee Accounts Payable & Receivable — invoice checks, PO/GRN matching, and payment scheduling
  • Track compliance timelines and ensure timely filing and payments
  • Support import/export documentation and forex transactions when required
  • Prepare monthly MIS data for internal review and investor reporting

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a startup or manufacturing setup
  • Proficiency in
    Tally
    (Zoho Books or QuickBooks experience is a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of
    Excel/Google Sheets
    (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
  • Clear understanding of
    GST
    ,
    TDS
    , and other statutory compliance basics
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable in managing multiple workflows
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams
