Quality Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the Quality Culture and implement Quality Assurance Plans, including inspection, testing, and process monitoring as per ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PED/QMS/2014/EU/68, and IBR 1950 requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and improve Laboratory QMS in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, and operational integrity.
• Ensure EHS compliance within QA Lab, Billet Yard, Annealing Furnaces, and related areas as per ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
  
  Integrate customer-specific requirements into processes, including RoHS/REACH/ELV compliance, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and change management (Engineering/Process/4M).
• Control non-conformances, manage rework/repair, and oversee sub-supplier quality systems.
• Lead New Product Development (NPD) through APQP methodology, ensuring timely feasibility review, PFMEA-Control Plan preparation, and PPAP approvals.
• Drive change management to ensure no adverse impact on customer requirements or product performance.
• Lead and coordinate customer audits, visits, and approvals for automotive, agriculture, pressure equipment, oil & gas, and railway sectors.
• Manage customer complaints using structured problem-solving tools (8D, Why-Why, Cause & Effect), ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote continual improvement, process standardization, and knowledge sharing across functions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

-Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes related to long steel products(Alloy Steel Division)

-Excellent command of quality control methodologies and statistical process control.

-In-depth understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT), mechanical testing, and chemical analysis techniques.

-Familiarity with integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO

-Leadership ability to manage large teams and coordinate cross-functional departments.

Educational Qualification:

B.E. / B.Tech. in Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering (Masters Degree preferred).
