Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer
to join our team at Clancy Global Building Consultancy.
to develop and design electrical systems, components, and products for a wide range of applications. You will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop electrical systems for building services, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, emergency systems, and low-current systems.

· Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents.

· Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams, circuiting, panel schedules, and equipment sizing.

· Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Altium, or similar).

· Perform load calculations, component selection, and safety analyses.

· Ensure designs meet regulatory, industry, and client specifications (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL, IEEE standards).

· Support prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical systems.

· Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical design with overall product architecture.

· Prepare technical documentation including design reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and user manuals.

· Troubleshoot design issues and recommend solutions or improvements.

· Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source electrical components and ensure compatibility with design.

· Assist in cost estimation, risk assessments, and project planning.

• Relevant Educational Background:
  A degree or certification in electrical engineering, electrical drafting, or a related field is beneficial.
• Previous Experience:
  Look for candidates with a proven track record in drafting electrical plans for projects similar to yours (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
• Industry Certifications:
  Certifications in electrical drafting or engineering software (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) can be an added bonus.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position for an Electrical Design Engineer, based in Mumbai. The role involves developing electrical design solutions for building services and infrastructure projects, analyzing power distribution systems, creating technical drawings, and ensuring electrical designs meet client specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The Electrical Design Engineer will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, conduct technical evaluations, prepare reports, and oversee project implementation while ensuring quality and accuracy in all design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for building services and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts, including electricity systems and power distribution methodologies.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for creating technical drawings and design documentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices related to electrical systems.
• Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Educational qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Relevant industry experience in electrical engineering or design is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering results in a timely manner.
