Role & responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

  • Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional procedures.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including cardiac and neurological evaluations.

  • Administer medications,including sedatives and pain management agents, as per protocol.

  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatment during procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for procedures.

  • Assist cardiologists and other team members during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including setting up sterile fields, handling instruments, and operating specialized equipment.

  • Ensure the availability and proper functioning of all necessary equipment and supplies.

  • Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and manage medications used during procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 2 years of experience as Cath Lab Staff Nurse from any Quaternary care Hospital.
