Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Internal Auditor for our Trade Finance & Services and Retail Foreign Exchange division. This is an individual contributor role based in Mumbai, responsible for conducting audits, evaluating risks, and ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance within the Bank's trade finance and forex operations.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Conduct end-to-end internal audits of Trade Finance & Services (inland and foreign exchange).

·      Evaluate transaction compliance with regulatory (FEMA, RBI), international (UCP 600, ISBP), and internal guidelines.

·      Audit and assess areas including Letters of Credit (LCs), Invoice Discounting, Export/Import Operations including merchant trade, Remittances, guarantees, TReDS, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Overseas Direct Investment (ODI), ECB, SWIFT reconciliations, Vostro Operations, Money Transfer Service Scheme (MTSS) and other related areas.

·      Review audit checklists and ensure comprehensive coverage.

·      Identify and report control lapses, revenue leakages, and suggest process improvements.

·      Discuss observations with auditees and conclude on findings.

·      Prepare and finalise audit reports in coordination with team leader and stakeholders.

·      Track open/pending audit issues and follow up for closure.

·      Oversee concurrent audits and ensure quality control.

·      Ensure timely completion of audits across centralised trade operations units, Category B branches, and retail forex branches.

·      Maintain audit documentation and update relevant systems/applications.

·      Ensure timely submission of regulatory data (e.g., RBI data, tranche I and III, etc.).

Qualification and Experience:

·      CA / MBA / Postgraduate Finance or related field with 4 to 12 years of relevant experience in trade finance audit in banks.

·      Candidates with certifications in Trade Finance preferred

Key Skills:

·      Strong knowledge of regulatory (FEMA, RBI) and international trade finance guidelines (UCP 600, ISBP)

·      Effective communication and report drafting skills

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·      Proficient in MS Word and Excel

·      Ability to plan, execute, and document audits efficiently
