Job Description of Media Coordinator

The Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing and streamlining media and communication activities across the University. The role requires effective coordination with various schools, the Registrars office, the Vice-Chancellor's office, and external agencies to ensure smooth execution of media-related tasks. Additionally, the role involves event management, content development, and graphic design support for promotional and communication purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

Media & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Media Department and all Schools, the Registrar's Office, Vice-Chancellor's Office and other functional heads.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for media-related collaborations, press releases, advertisements, and other promotional activities.
  • Plan, organize, and execute University events, ensuring media coverage and promotional support.
  • Manage internal and external communication, ensuring brand consistency and proper dissemination of information.
  • Handle day-to-day department operations, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor and track media activities, prepare reports, and analyze engagement for continuous improvement.

Graphic Design & Content Development

  • Design visually appealing graphics for social media, internal communication, promotional materials, and event collateral.
  • Create banners, posters, notifications, and other marketing literature to enhance the University's outreach.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the University's branding and communication guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to develop engaging visual content for social media platforms.
