Job Purpose:
To lead and manage all legal functions of Sobha Limited, ensuring legally compliant land procurement, due diligence, documentation, and regulatory clearances. The role demands strategic oversight of legal risk mitigation while supporting the companys growth through timely land acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal:
- Draft, vet, and negotiate MOUs, Joint Development Agreements (JDAs), Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, and other real estate contracts.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and ensure statutory compliance for all projects.
- Liaise with external legal counsel for litigation management, title verification, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure timely legal due diligence and title scrutiny for all land acquisition deals.
- Advise the management on legal strategies related to property development, corporate law, and RERA.
- Monitor and maintain company compliance with all applicable real estate, company, and land laws across jurisdictions.
- Strategically evaluate land parcels in line with the company's growth objectives.
- Land acquisition transactions from initiation to closure including documentation, and registration.
- Ensure all land titles are marketable and free from encumbrances before acquisition.
- Ensure timely payment, registration, and mutation of land records.
Leadership & Strategic Planning:
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals.
- Collaborate with the business development, planning, and finance teams to align legal and land purchase strategies with business goals.
- Maintain high standards of ethics and integrity in all legal activities.
- Represent the company in high-level legal and regulatory discussions and negotiations.

- Strong understanding of property documentation and legal processes.

Qualifications & Experience:
- LLB/LLM from a recognized university; specialization in Property Law, Corporate Law preferred.
- 2025 years of relevant experience in legal affairs in the real estate industry.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, RERA, land revenue laws, stamp duty laws, and municipal rules.
- Proven experience in large-scale land acquisition due diligence.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external legal counsel effectively.
