Role Mandate

To provide
enterprise-level leadership
for civil engineering operations, owning
strategy, portfolio governance, processes, documentation, P&L, and risk management
, while
successfully controlling 100+ concurrent sports infrastructure projects
across multiple regions through strong systems, delegation, and data-driven governance.

Key Leadership Responsibilities1. Enterprise Portfolio Management (100+ Projects)

  • Own and govern a
    pan-India portfolio of 100+ live and pipeline projects
  • Design and operate a
    program management structure
    (Regional Heads → Project Heads → Site Teams)
  • Ensure standardised planning, execution, and reporting across all projects

  • Drive predictability on timelines, quality, cost, and cash flows at scale

  • Process Excellence & Operating Model

  • Architect and institutionalise
    end-to-end engineering operating models

  • Establish SOPs for:
  • Project initiation, feasibility & handover
  • Multi-site execution & controls
  • Escalation & exception management
  • Project closure & defect liability
  • Ensure processes enable
    high-volume, parallel project execution

  • Drive automation and dashboards for real-time visibility

  • Documentation Governance & Control

  • Own enterprise-wide
    engineering documentation frameworks

  • Ensure 100% compliance on:
  • DPR / WPR / MPR across all sites
  • Drawings, BOQs, method statements
  • Quality & safety documentation
  • Billing, variations, and completion dossiers
  • Implement
    central document control systems
    and approval hierarchies

  • Ensure audit-ready documentation for all 100+ projects at any time

  • P&L, Cost & Commercial Governance

  • Own
    portfolio-level P&L
    across all projects

  • Approve budgets, cost baselines, and commercial deviations
  • Monitor margins, collections, cash flows, and working capital

  • Drive cost optimisation through standardisation and scale efficiencies

  • Organisation & Leadership Structure

  • Build and lead
    multi-layered engineering leadership teams

  • Define spans of control suitable for 100+ projects
  • Appoint and mentor Regional Heads / Program Managers

  • Drive accountability through KRAs, scorecards, and reviews

  • Risk, Quality, Safety & Compliance (At Scale)

  • Establish enterprise-level
    risk management and escalation frameworks

  • Ensure uniform quality and safety standards across all projects
  • Proactively identify systemic risks impacting large portfolios

  • Own statutory, contractual, and compliance governance

  • Client, Board & Executive Engagement

  • Represent Engineering Operations at
    Board, CXO, and key client forums

  • Lead high-impact escalations, critical project reviews, and negotiations
  • Provide data-driven portfolio insights to leadership

Authority & Decision Rights

  • Final authority on
    engineering governance, processes, and documentation standards
  • Portfolio-level budget and variation approvals
  • Leadership hiring and organisational structuring
  • Strategic vendor empanelment and partnerships

Ideal Candidate ProfileEducation

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
    (Mandatory)
  • PMP / M.Tech / Executive Management Program – Preferred

Experience

  • 20–25+ years
    in civil / infrastructure execution
  • 8–10+ years in enterprise leadership roles
    (GM / VP / COO – Projects)
  • Proven experience managing
    large project portfolios (50–100+ concurrent projects)
  • Strong background in
    process design, documentation control, and governance systems
