Guidewire Billing Center Developer

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire BillingCenter Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and customizing solutions using the Guidewire BillingCenter platform. As a Guidewire BillingCenter Developer you will work closely with business analysts solution architects and project teams to design develop and implement billing solutions for our insurance clients.
Key Responsibilities: System Design and Development: Customize and extend Guidewire BillingCenter to meet business requirements. Design and implement new features or modifications to existing features in the BillingCenter module. Write and optimize code ensuring best practices and guidelines are followed. Collaborate with business and technical teams to define system requirements design specifications and integration points. Integration and Configuration: Integrate BillingCenter with other Guidewire products such as PolicyCenter ClaimCenter and third-party systems. Configure BillingCenter workflows screens and business logic as per business requirements. Ensure proper data flow between BillingCenter and other systems (e.g. CRM ERP Payment Gateways). Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for the BillingCenter application including diagnosing issues resolving bugs and performance optimization. Assist in the analysis of defects and contribute to root cause analysis. Perform system testing including unit testing regression testing and integration testing. Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay up-to-date with the latest Guidewire BillingCenter features patches and upgrades. Assist in the deployment and installation of software upgrades and patches. Ensure system stability and handle day-to-day maintenance tasks. Documentation and Best Practices: Create detailed technical documentation including design specifications test plans and release notes. Promote the use of development best practices within the team. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts QA engineers and project managers to ensure requirements are fully understood and implemented correctly. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of development processes.
Key Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter development with a strong understanding of billing processes and configurations. Experience with Guidewire platform tools such as Guidewire Studio GOSU PCF and Gunit. Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud and cloud-based implementations is a plus. Familiarity with Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Strong experience with SQL Databases and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira Git or Confluence. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter configuration including rate tables payment plans bill groups and accounting processes. Experience with Guidewire APIs integration techniques and messaging protocols. Strong knowledge of Guidewire's best practices for development testing and deployment. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
