Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, executing, and analyzing performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for large-scale applications. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, scalability, and responsiveness under various workloads and contribute to performance optimization across applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute performance testing strategies including load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6.
  • Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
  • Monitor system performance using APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, or similar.
  • Perform capacity planning and benchmarking based on business requirements.
  • Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Prepare and present performance test reports, dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and suggest optimization strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements (NFRs) and performance SLAs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance and load testing.
  • Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter / LoadRunner / Gatling / k6.
  • Good understanding of performance testing methodologies and NFRs.
  • Hands-on experience with API performance testing (REST/SOAP).
  • Solid knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, TCP/IP, and web architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring and profiling tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Strong skills in test result analysis, bottleneck identification, and tuning recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of databases (SQL queries, indexing concepts).
  • Experience in CI/CD integration and DevOps environments.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting knowledge (Java, Groovy, Python, or Shell).
  • Experience in microservices and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of security or chaos testing.
  • Performance testing experience for mobile or IoT applications.
