Opportunity Summary:

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our India-based Center of Excellence team. The Project Manager will play a key role in delivering enterprise search and AI orchestration projects for global customers. This role supports the North America Professional Services team and acts as a bridge between U.S.-based consultants and offshore technical resources to ensure the seamless implementation of the BA Insight platform.

This position requires a proactive communicator, an excellent multitasker, and a project leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global delivery environment. You'll need the agility to combine assurance with realistic expectations when communicating about unexpected issues.

What would you do?

• Manage end-to-end delivery of BA Insight implementation projects in partnership with U.S.-based consultants.
• Communicate to customers with confidence and authority during the full range of implementation situations
• Lead project planning, scheduling, scope management, and risk tracking using established Professional Services methodologies.
• Coordinate daily standups, track project milestones, and ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.
• Partner with technical teams (connectors, infrastructure, orchestration, UI) to translate requirements into actionable plans.
• Provide guidance and support to technical team members during challenging or high-pressure customer situations, helping them stay calm and solution focused.
• Track hours, deliverables, and milestones against contractual Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Support customer communication by preparing project updates, weekly summaries, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with CoE team members (technical leads, coordinators, QA) to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Ensure all projects adhere to Upland project processes, including change control and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate data within Upland systems (Upland PSA, Jira, Salesforce, Teams, etc.) for project tracking and reporting.
• Serve as the primary offshore point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on assigned projects.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in enterprise software implementation or SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of data integration or enterprise content systems (SharePoint, iManage, Documentum, etc.).
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.
• Ability to translate technical explanations into readable, concise summaries with action items.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with U.S.-based teams and clients.
• Solid organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Strong command of project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
• Ability to work overlapping hours with the U.S. (evening IST).
• Culturally agile and able to work effectively with global teams.

Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:

• Experience in AI orchestration, data indexing, or search technologies.
• Experience with the content necessities of the legal, sciences, or military industries
• Experience working across workgroups and business units
• Prior experience in a Professional Services or Center of Excellence environment.
• Knowledge of Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or other cloud infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with BA Insight products, connectors, or similar enterprise search technologies.

Work Schedule

• Standard IST working hours with mandatory overlap (3–4 hours) with North American business hours (e.g., 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST).
• Flexibility to alternate schedules with other CoE Project Managers to ensure consistent U.S. coverage.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
