C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). • Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Honble Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
• Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering , has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable, responsible OAS.
• Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at 10-Hour Women Hackathon organised by Trithon Triplets 2023.
• Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha Technological Conclave, 2023.
• Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.
• CGU won Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022 in Software Edition.

Where You Come In:

As a Sound Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of every event, lecture, and performance by delivering crisp, balanced, and reliable sound quality. Youll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining all audio systems and providing technical support during live sessions. Your expertise will help create a seamless audio-visual experience that enhances communication and engagement across the campus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate, set up, and maintain audio systems, including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers.
• Conduct sound checks and ensure proper sound balance and clarity during events, lectures, and performances.
• Coordinate with event coordinators, technicians, and performers to meet specific audio requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or audio-related issues during live operations.
• Manage recordings, monitor sound levels, and maintain consistent audio quality.
• Ensure all equipment is properly stored, maintained, and functional.
• Assist in upgrading or installing new audio equipment as needed.
• Maintain logbooks and inventory of audio gear and accessories.

Who Are We Looking For:

• Minimum Educational Qualification : High School or equivalent. /Technical or Vocational Training in Sound Engineering, Audio Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum Experience: 2-5 years of experience in audio engineering, live sound reinforcement, or a related domain.

• Strong understanding of audio equipment, signal flow, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to respond quickly to technical issues during live events, rehearsals, or recordings.
• Excellent listening skills and attention to sound quality and balance.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and event days.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in sound mixing consoles and digital audio systems.
• Good understanding of acoustics and audio signal processing.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure during live events.
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety and equipment handling.
