Overview The Territory Manager (Agency Channel) plays a pivotal role in the organization's growth and success by managing and developing agency partnerships within a specified territory. This position is crucial for increasing market share and driving sales through agency networks. The Territory Manager will be responsible for formulating effective strategies to enhance agency performance while ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. By providing training, guidance, and support to both existing and new agencies, the Territory Manager will foster a collaborative environment that empowers agency partners to maximize their potential. This role requires a deep understanding of the market dynamics and a passion for forging strong relationships to ensure mutual growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for agency growth and market penetration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners.
  • Conduct regular meetings with agency managers to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive sales initiatives and campaigns to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to agency personnel to enhance their product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Monitor agency performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address underperformance.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials that support agency sales efforts.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to senior management.
  • Recruit and onboard new agencies to expand the distribution network.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively between agency partners and the organization.
  • Organize regional events to promote product visibility and agency engagement.
  • Stay updated on industry developments to continuously improve agency channel strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services based on agency feedback.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management or territory management.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated territory as required.
