Position Title: Product Documentation Specialist Location: Bangalore Tool: ERP, Windchill, ECN, ECR Educational Qualification: BE Mechanical/ Diploma Mechanical Engineering Experience: 1 - 2 Years.
Responsibilities
  • Support and/or maintain New Part Notifications (NPN), Operations Manuals, Engineering Bulletins, Manufacturing and Engineering Work Instructions and Training Aids for SPR tape feed equipment development.
  • Review ERP system (JDE) to ensure that manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routings are accurate, part revision history, classify obsolete parts, and create purchase requisitions in JDE to support clean transitions into Windchill and SAP environments.
  • Provide assistance for overflow to Release Process (Kick Off {K.O.}) for distribution and supporting documentation.
  • Provide assistance in reports to Leadership for K.O.
  • Provide audit reports from K.O. system and the output to Sales team.
  • Maintain NPN system and release NPN in Windchill and JDE.
  • Drawing release and control with support to ERP system (JDE).
  • Assist with Cost Management on Tooling Requisition control and review.
  • Maintain open change list with effective implementation date of ECN complete.
  • Support ECR process and ensure accurate and timely processing in SharePoint.
  • Escalate change control issues to the Program Manager or Product Manager.

Education and Experience Required
  • 2+ years of admin level responsibilities required.
  • Basic understanding of engineering methodology and/or Engineering Change Management.
  • Able to read mechanical detail drawings and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with J. D. Edwards or equivalent ERP system.
  • Familiarity with Windchill or equivalent PDM system.
  • Familiarity with Catia and Unigraphics preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Windchill or comparable PLM system
  • Demonstrate technical writing skills and computer skills.
  • Ability to interface with customer/supplier/vendor.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
