Position: Hotel Duty Manager

About The Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day hotel operations during assigned shifts. You will be the on-duty leader who ensures smooth guest arrivals/departures, rapid incident resolution, and cross-departmental coordination between front office, housekeeping, and F&B teams. This role suits a hands-on hospitality professional with strong people skills, operational focus, and a customer-first mindset.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead on-shift operations: supervise front office, concierge, housekeeping and outlet coordination to maintain service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Own guest recovery and incident management: resolve complaints promptly, escalate appropriately, and document actions per SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and security protocols; conduct regular checks and report deviations.
  • Manage shift handovers, maintain logs (incidents, VIPs, rooms status), and brief incoming teams to ensure continuity.
  • Monitor operational KPIs (occupancy, ARR/ADR impacts, OOO rooms, service scores) and take corrective action to protect revenue and guest experience.
  • Coach and mentor on-shift staff, enforce standards, and support training to build a service-oriented culture.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • 4+ years hospitality experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/Duty Manager capacity in hotels.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with proven complaint resolution and guest-recovery skills.
  • Familiarity with PMS (Opera/Cloud or similar), POS systems, cash-handling procedures and basic reporting.
  • Good command of English and local language(s); strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Diploma/degree in Hotel Management or related field and exposure to revenue/operational KPIs.
  • Experience in mid-to-upscale hotels, knowledge of safety/compliance audits, and basic people-management training.
