Position: General Manager (Solar EPC)

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Solar / Renewable Energy / EPC / Power sector

Education: MBA (Operations/Marketing/Management) or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Salary: ₹50,000 per month + Travelling Allowance

Location: Siliguri, West Bengal

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic General Manager (GM) to lead our Solar EPC business operations. The role demands a balance of technical expertise, sales acumen, and team management. The GM will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing project execution, and leading a high-performing team to deliver successful solar installations across multiple locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales

  • Generate new business opportunities and convert leads into solar EPC projects.
  • Build long-term client relationships and manage key accounts.
  • Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and project costings.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and yearly sales targets.

Project Execution & Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and government authorities for approvals and compliance.
  • Resolve technical or operational challenges during execution.

Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor project engineers, site supervisors, and support staff.
  • Set clear responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
  • Build a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and accountability.
  • Train and upskill team members for technical and managerial growth.

Finance & Reporting

  • Manage project budgets and ensure profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to control costs and improve margins.
  • Provide regular MIS and performance reports to senior management.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Solar / EPC / Renewable Energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, EPC processes, and electrical systems.
  • Proven track record in sales and project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and client locations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Fixed salary of ₹50,000 per month.
  • Travelling Allowance provided for site visits and client meetings.
