● Collaborate with the Solution Architect to implement Lightning pages, Flows, and

automation that streamline associate workflows.

● Build and maintain Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura components where

custom development is required.

● Convert legacy Classic customizations (JavaScript buttons, Visualforce) into

Lightning-compatible solutions.

● Implement integration points with external systems , telephony/Genesis,

Outlook).

● Support data migration and cleansing efforts (Guest Card object → standard objects if

applicable).

● Optimize performance and usability of the Salesforce platform.

● Participate in code reviews, sandbox testing, and deployments following best practices.

● Document technical designs and support knowledge transfer to AvalonBay's internal

team.

Required Skills

● 7-8 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

● Strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex Classes, Triggers,

SOQL, SOSL.

● Experience with Flows, Validation Rules, Dynamic Forms, and declarative

automation.

● Proven track record of Classic-to-Lightning migrations.

● Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware tools (Mulesoft, Dell

Boomi, or custom integrations).

● Knowledge of profiles, permission sets, and security model in Salesforce.

● Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Gearset, Copado preferred).

● Salesforce Platform Developer I (required), Developer II (preferred).

Preferred Skills

● Experience with Service Cloud, Omni-Channel, and Digital Engagement.

● Knowledge of AppExchange solutions and ability to recommend/install packages.

● Familiarity with Agile methodology and working in distributed teams.

● Understanding of QA automation tools for Salesforce (optional but nice to have).

Soft Skills

● Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

● Ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively with architects, admins, and

QA.

● Excellent communication skills to work with business stakeholders and translate
