Who We Are From April 2024, the majority of the BBC's Indian operations has moved to the Collective Newsroom which has been set up by some of the BBC's most experienced journalists in India. To know more about us, please visit our website : ;\/span> About BBC NewsBanglaBBC News Bangla is the Bengalilanguage service of the BBC World Service and was set up in 1941 for Bengaliaudiences in South Asia and worldwide. It provides up -to -date news and current affairs, covering both domesticand international news stories and is multiplatform, with a multimedia website with a focus on digital video,text, interactivity for both desktop and mobile platforms, and TV newsprogramme. The service aims to make international news relevant to Bengalispeaking audiences in both Bangladesh and India, and aims at bringing quality,impartial, original journalism with news and current affairs to the Bengalispeaking region. Key responsibilities and accountabilities​Present live and pre -recorded programmes on both digital and TVplatforms with confidence, clarity, and journalistic integrityDevelop and deliver engaging scripts for news, current affairs, andcultural programmingCollaborate with producers and journalists to shape content andensure editorial excellenceConduct interviews with a wide range of guests, from policymakers tolocal changemakersContribute to planning and ideation for innovative formats tailoredfor Bengali -speaking audiencesRequirementsKnowledge, skills, training and experienceEssential:Prior experience as a presenteror anchor in TV and, preferably, digital media is strongly preferredOutstanding verbalcommunication and storytelling abilities in BengaliSolid understanding ofjournalistic ethics and editorial standardsComfortable navigating studioand field environments, sometimes under tight deadlinesBasic knowledge of visualproduction and social media engagement strategiesDeep cultural awareness of WestBengal, including its social, political, and artistic landscape Last Date to Apply: 22 December 2025
