B.E /Diploma (Mechanical Engineer) from a reputed & recognized university/Institute

Experience

10-12 Years in plant maintenance

Technical Skills

At least 5 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills

Should be computer savvy

Behavioral Skills

Should have excellent communication skill

Excellent interpersonal skill

Innovation & change management skills

Job Purpose:

To Contribute the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance To carry out Maintenance of Production, Utility, Ancillary, QA, Tool Room Machines, to ensure continuous Process Capability without frequent break downs

Principal Accountabilities:

Responsibility

Supporting Activities

Plant Maintenance

Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction and implement improvement plans.

Manage the team and establish standard policies and procedures in the department.

Monitors repairs through systems and controls (i.e. CMMS) to ensure work orders and requests are executed in accordance to established work flow

Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation at plant.

Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.

Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime

Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management

Ensure department objectives are met by working on agreed plan.

Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets

Ensure reduction in energy conservation project as per agreed plan. (Unit/Kg)

Prepare the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals.

Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service provider

Process Automation

Explore possibility & feasibility of process automation to reduce the manpower and other overhead cost with clearly agreed budget.

Supporting existing manual processes and implementing changes as per the requirements & feasibility.

Environment Health Safety

Ensure EHS practices and standards

Actively participates into accident/incident investigations

Gives input to the safety performance analysis and improvements

Develops, maintains and applies consistent maintenance and reliability best practices (i.e. safety programs, routine safety audits)

MOE

Lead and execute 5S projects.

Create Kaizen culture in PE department by more employee participation in kaizen
