Responsibilities :

As an ETL + SQL Developer, you will be expected to :

- Design and Development: Design, develop, test, implement, and optimize ETL processes using industry-standard tools and techniques to load data into the data warehouse from various source systems.

- SQL Expertise: Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data transformation, reporting, and analysis.

- Data Integrity and Quality: Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all ETL processes and the data warehouse. Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms.

- Performance Tuning: Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs and data loading processes, applying performance tuning techniques to ensure high efficiency and minimal downtime.

- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, data dictionaries, and data models.

- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Report Developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements to existing data warehouse and ETL systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Professional Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in ETL development and data warehousing.

- Core ETL Tool Proficiency: Hands-on, demonstrable experience with at least one major commercial or open-source ETL tool (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, Microsoft SSIS, DataStage, etc.). Please specify relevant tools on your resume.

- Advanced SQL: Expert-level proficiency in Advanced SQL and database technologies (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL). This includes complex join operations, window functions, and query optimization.

- Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Kimball methodology, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact tables, dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions - SCDs).

- Scripting: Experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) or Python for automating ETL jobs and related tasks is a strong plus.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
