A Specialist Recruiter will manage the full hiring cycle, from crafting job descriptions and sourcing talent (job boards, social media) to screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers, ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance, while partnering closely with hiring managers to meet specific, often niche, talent needs for specialized roles. Will build talent pipelines, use data (like time-to-hire), and often focus on particular industries, using expertise to find hard-to-fill positions.
Key AccountabilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Strategy & Collaboration: Partner with department heads to define hiring needs, create job descriptions, and develop recruitment plans.
- Sourcing: Find candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and events, maintaining strong talent pools.
- Screening & Assessment: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, manage interviews, and perform background/reference checks.
- Candidate Experience: Maintain clear communication, provide timely updates, and ensure a positive impression of the company.
- Process Management: Use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), maintain records, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Reporting: Monitor key metrics (time-to-hire, source of hire) and provide feedback to improve processes.
You'll need to demonstrate:
- Experience: Proven background in recruitment, ideally with expertise in a specific field.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and time management.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws, recruitment best practices, and ATS software.
- Attributes: Proactive, strategic thinker, results-oriented, and relationship builder.
