About the Role

We are looking for a
forward-thinking Deputy Merchandising Manager (DMM)
to lead and grow our strategic UK business portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of
sustainable materials, ethical sourcing, craftsmanship, and premium home & lifestyle design
with a global aesthetic.

You will partner closely with leading UK retailers & purpose-driven brands to drive product development, ensure flawless execution, and deliver differentiated collections that reflect sustainability, innovation, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Client Management (UK Market)

• Manage end-to-end merchandising for UK clients with a sharp focus on sustainability-led categories.
• Lead seasonal line building, catalogue planning, and opportunity mapping.
• Drive commercial conversations, costing, target margins, and product competitiveness.

2. Product Development & Sustainability

• Develop eco-friendly, handcrafted, and ethically sourced products—Furniture, Textiles, Home Décor, Lighting & Accessories.
• Deep knowledge of materials such as FSC wood, recycled metals, natural fibres, organic cotton, vegan leather, handwoven textiles, etc.
• Work closely with design teams, artisans, factories, and QC to ensure elevated UK-standard products.

3. Operations & Project Ownership

• Own T&A calendars, PD trackers, sample tracking, costing sheets, and packaging development.
• Ensure on-time sample delivery, risk management, and transparent communication with buyers.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, testing, packaging norms, and sustainability certifications.

4. Digital-First, Modern Working Style

We strongly prefer candidates who are fluent in:

• Google Workspace
  (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive automation)
• Project Management Tools
  (Asana, Trello, Monday, ClickUp, Notion, etc.)
• AI Tools
  (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Midjourney for concepting, etc.)
• Creative Tools
  (Canva, Figma, Miro)
• Ability to build dashboards, trackers, presentation decks, and PD boards with speed & clarity.

Ideal Candidate

• 10 plus years of merchandising experience with UK brands/retailers preferred.
• Exposure to sustainable product lines similar to
  Soho Home, Habitat, Cox & Cox, , Heal's, Dunelm, Nkuku etc.
• Strong eye for design, storytelling, and handcrafted product detail.
• Excellent communication, smart problem-solving & relationship management.
• Curious, tech-savvy, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment.
