Role Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation and execution of woodwork, joinery, modular furniture, and interior fit-out projects at the site. The role ensures that execution happens as per approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise installation of woodwork, modular furniture, paneling, doors, wardrobes, kitchen units, counters, etc.
  • Ensure work is executed strictly as per drawings, BOQ, and material specifications.
  • Coordinate with carpenters, installers, and subcontractors for smooth workflow.
  • Monitor daily site progress and provide updates to the Project Manager.

2. Quality Control

  • Inspect workmanship, finishing quality, and alignment of installations.
  • Ensure proper handling and fixing of hardware, hinges, channels, laminates, veneer, and accessories.
  • Report quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.

3. Material Management

  • Check material delivery at site as per DO/BOQ.
  • Ensure proper storage and minimize damage at site.
  • Track shortages and raise requisitions on time.

4. Coordination

  • Coordinate with design, production, purchase, and logistics teams for material flow.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors for approvals and site requirements.
  • Participate in site meetings and update client representatives.

5. Planning & Documentation

  • Prepare daily progress reports, site measurements, snag lists, and completion status.
  • Ensure installation checklists and quality documentation are maintained.
  • Assist in developing timelines and adherence to project schedules.

6. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure workers follow safety guidelines and PPE usage.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and organized work environment.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of wood, plywood, laminates, veneer, hardware, and joinery techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings (AutoCAD / Pytha / similar).
  • Manpower management and site coordination skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to handle pressure.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, Interior, or Wood Technology.
  • 1–5 years of experience in wood/furniture/interior project execution.
  • Freshers with strong interest in wood industry can also be considered (if applicable).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹40,000.00 per month
