The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety across multiple concurrent construction activities including structural works, piling, rock anchoring, excavation, and finishing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Management & ComplianceDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety management systems for high-rise construction operationsEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local building codes, and industry standards)Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all work areasMaintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for high-rise constructionSpecialized Work Area OversightPiling Operations: Monitor deep foundation work, crane operations, and heavy machinery safety protocolsRock Anchoring: Oversee drilling operations, anchor installation, and structural stability proceduresExcavation Works: Manage excavation safety, shoring systems, confined space protocols, and soil stability monitoringHigh-Rise Construction: Implement fall protection systems, crane safety, material hoisting, and working-at-height protocolsFinishing Works: Coordinate safety measures during interior/exterior finishing phasesTraining & CommunicationConduct safety orientations for new workers and subcontractorsDeliver toolbox talks and specialized safety training sessionsCoordinate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors on safety requirementsMaintain clear communication channels for safety-related issues and emergency proceduresDocumentation & ReportingPrepare and maintain detailed safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance recordsInvestigate accidents and near-miss incidents, providing comprehensive reports and corrective action plansTrack safety metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to project managementCoordinate with insurance representatives and regulatory inspectors as requiredEmergency ResponseDevelop and implement emergency response procedures specific to high-rise construction hazardsCoordinate with local emergency services and maintain emergency contact protocolsConduct emergency drills and evacuation proceduresRequired QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredCurrent OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (minimum)Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent professional certification preferredFirst Aid/CPR certification requiredExperience RequirementsMinimum 8-10 years of safety officer experience in commercial constructionDemonstrated experience with high-rise construction projects (10+ stories)Hands-on experience managing safety for: Piling and deep foundation operations Rock anchoring and ground stabilization work Large-scale excavation projects Multi-phase construction finishing operationsExperience with tower cranes, material hoists, and construction elevatorsTechnical SkillsThorough knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)Proficiency in safety management software and documentation systemsUnderstanding of structural engineering principles related to construction safetyFamiliarity with geotechnical considerations in excavation and foundation workKnowledge of fall protection systems, scaffolding, and temporary structuresCore CompetenciesStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse teams and subcontractorsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work in challenging construction environments and adverse weather conditionsPhysical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing and working at various elevationsLocation: On-site –Mumbai, MHScheduled Weekly Hours:48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements.  We're interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the tableJLL Privacy NoticeJones Lang LaSalle (JLL), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
