Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month

Job Summary:

The STP Operator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure efficient treatment and compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor STP equipment, including pumps, blowers, motors, valves, and dosing systems.
  • Check inlet and outlet water quality and record parameters such as pH, DO, TDS, and MLSS.
  • Perform daily inspection and cleaning of tanks, screens, and filters.
  • Ensure proper dosing of chemicals (chlorine, alum, etc.) as per treatment requirement.
  • Maintain daily logbooks and operation records.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance under supervision.
  • Report any malfunction or abnormality to the supervisor immediately.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the plant area.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma / SSLC (Preferred: Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in operation of STP/WTP/ETP.
  • Skills Required:
  • Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment process.
  • Ability to handle pumps, motors, and dosing systems.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.

  • Timing: 8-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation)
