Accounting Analyst- Fixed Asset accounting

Role & responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation calculation, asset disposals, and reconciliation of fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Prepare and review month-end accruals related to P2P transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany, accruals, and fixed asset accounts.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, and operations) to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist in internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets and P2P transactions.
  • Identify process improvements and assist in the automation of accounting processes within the P2P cycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on fixed asset accounting and general ledger activities.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes, accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Understanding of depreciation methods and fixed asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
