Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated WordPress Developer Intern who is passionate about using technology for education. You will work directly with our development team to build and maintain features for our Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational platforms, and corporate training sites. This role is perfect for someone who wants to see their code make a direct impact on students and educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and customization of our WordPress-based Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Help create and style engaging learning pages, course layouts, and student dashboards.
  • Integrate and customize plugins for key EdTech features like quizzes, assignments, progress tracking, and certificates.
  • Work on making the learning experience responsive and accessible across all devices.
  • Support the team with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to courses, user accounts, and payments.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and content creators to implement their vision technically.
  • Participate in testing new features and ensuring a bug-free learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • A basic understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and the admin dashboard.
  • A strong interest in leveraging technology for education (EdTech).
  • Eagerness to learn and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Nice-to-Have Skills (The Competitive Edge):

  • Any exposure to a WordPress LMS plugin (LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor LMS, Sensei). Even installing one on a local site is a huge plus.
  • Experience with page builders like Elementor or Divi, which are often used to design course pages.
  • Basic understanding of Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with REST API concepts (for potential mobile app integrations).
  • An understanding of web accessibility (a11y) standards to ensure learning is inclusive for all.
  • A personal project, even a simple online course website, is a fantastic portfolio piece.
