Internship Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and curious WordPress Developer Intern to join our product team. You will work directly with our senior developers and instructional designers to build, enhance, and maintain the very platforms that deliver our educational content. This isn't just about making websites; it's about building tools that facilitate learning for thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and customization of our WordPress-based Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Implement and customize themes and page builders (like Elementor or Beaver Builder) to create engaging and responsive course pages, student dashboards, and landing pages.
  • Help integrate and maintain third-party plugins for critical EdTech functions.
  • E-commerce & Payments (WooCommerce for selling courses)
  • Gamification (Badges, points, certificates)
  • Video Conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet for live sessions)
  • Perform website updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure site stability.
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate UI/UX wireframes from Figma or Adobe XD into functional web pages.
  • Learn and apply best practices for web performance, security, and accessibility (WCAG) to ensure our platforms are usable by everyone.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Foundational knowledge of core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of PHP and how it interacts with WordPress.
  • Familiarity with the WordPress ecosystem: The difference between themes and plugins, the WordPress admin dashboard, and posts/pages.
  • A strong desire to learn about the EdTech space and how technology can enhance education.
  • Problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Your "Techmomentum" Boosters):

  • Any exposure to a major WordPress Learning Management System (LMS) plugin is a massive plus.
  • Experience with a popular page builder (Elementor is highly prevalent).
  • Basic understanding of version control (Git).
  • Awareness of web performance optimization (caching, image optimization) and SEO.
  • A personal portfolio, GitHub, or blog where you've experimented with WordPress, even on personal projects.
